Speleotherapy means a room or area with Salt Crystal Rock tiled walls where people sit and breathe ionized air, natural negative ions produced through ionization process by Salt Crystal. In the European countries like Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Armenia and Pakistan in Asia have utilized the underground used up salt mines as speleotherapy clinics and people visit there in large numbers to pass some time inside the mine to breathe rich negative-ion air inside the mine.
Many patients cannot afford to go to the mines due to the distance and traveling fatigue, they prefer to have a salt mine of their own in one of the small rooms of their house. Rock salt tiles are used to make walls of the cabin and its flooring is also topped with rock salt tiles thus making a salt room. Latest cabins are being constructed by using lights behind the walls of rock salt tiles which give such a beautiful, soothing and relaxing atmosphere.
Tiles are building and finishing materials for salt rooms and interior living spaces with a therapeutic effect.
